Hello ladies I am new to this app. I just wanted to ask opinions and advice really with regards to my situation .
So on Tuesday of this week I went for an early scan for reassurance . I thought I was 5 weeks and 5 days . The nurse and sonographer were present and both looked concerned as she did the internal scan . I’m not kidding ladies you could barely see anything and she said ‘ are you sure you have your dates right ..’ and that I was measuring at just 4 weeks from her calculation . Could see a tiny sac ( no yolk sac or fetal pole ) and she said if no progress at all by Wednesday next week then it’s a missed miscarriage . My LMP was 14.1 and I’m pretty certain of my dates. I’ve told myself that it’s bad news ( you know when you know ) and anything else is a bonus on Wednesday . I’ve been so upset and withdrawn and taken some leave from work . My sis is a doctor and she is pretty much of the view that it’s probably a mc but why am I still holding out a minescule bit of hope ? Anyone had any similar stories ? Good or bad I don’t mind just want this torture over with . This is the scan pic . It looks so tiny and she is simply checking on Wednesday to see if it’s a viable pregnancy or not :-(

Try not to panic.
I had an early scan booked at EPU with this pregnancy.
I was pretty certain of my dates as I had miscarried the month before. I was sure I was over the 5 week mark, however when I went, the scan put me at just 4+5. Nothing was visible except a sac. I was told to just hold out and see what happened.
Fast forward to my 12 week scan, they put me ahead a week again so my dates ended up matching up in the end. I think it all depends on if you ovulate late/early & how soon implantation occurs after x

i had very similar with first. could see nothing, no pole ect and went vsck following week and there, that too was realy early. i thought was 6 weeks turned out i was 4wk. good luck, dont stress x
Let’s hope that you’re very early, that’s why they can’t see much X fingers crossed for you

Thank you for the info x I just got the impression from the sonographer that I should expect bad news next week x did your early scan look like mine x
@smiley6457 this was mine at 4+5.. literally just a black blob. I was relieved to see something but it wasn't enough to confirm if viable or not
@kerryy23, ah thank you for sharing xx will see what happens on Wednesday - my gut tells me it’s bad but I guess I don’t know for absolute certain x gosh this waiting is crippling :-(
