Anyone got a small turtle pet any pointers ?what should i buy

We have a tortoise 🐢 doesn’t live in water ,I buy a huge bag of mulch for it from petsmart that’s for them and have a huge cage for it on my patio ;) doesn’t smell and we pet her everyday she’s friendly we feed it romaine lettuce &fruit and wash it every other wk , I change the cage mulch bi weekly never has smelled we have her a few month’s she’s about the size/width of my hand

They WERE pretty cute and it WAS cool watchin em grow. When the tank was clean and the water was clear, they were fun to watch. I just CAN'T stress filters, filters, FILTERS enough girl! Also after yoy feed them, give em a little time of course, but once they're obviously not interested in the food anymore, use your net and scoop any loose stuff out. The more often you do that and keep up with that kinda stuff, the less stinky and dirty they'll be, so fast. It'll help you get a little more time between cleanings.

WORST. PET. EVER. I freakin HATED ours. Kai brought 2 of the little bastards home. They are DISGUSTING and I am not exaggerating girl, DIIIII-SKUSTIN! They smell SO bad. We ended up upgrading to a 40 gallon tank with 2 filters and they were still gross. You HAVE to clean the entire tank, like dumping all the rocks out, take the filter apart and everything like every couple weeks. Really if you go the full 2 weeks, it smells BAD and takes longer to clean. We were cleaning ours every 7-10 days. I have never been so happy as the day that Kai came in all excited wantin to let the little buggers go. I was like 🙌.... you SURE baby?? Ok, LET'S GO! 🤣

Turtles stink so bad. And I have a rodent that smells better than they do.

Turtle pellets a 20 gallon fish tank or bigger a pump filter a heat lamp some little hiding hole some small plants for inside a like sand too they don’t stink unless you change the tank smh 🤦‍♀️ also get a sucker fish to help algae stay off the side

I had a turtle when I was younger. It stunk so bad and was not a fun pet to have lol
