I devoured this book in two days. Such a great read! Truly showing the strength of a woman, a mother.
Trying to get out of my reading comfort zone. Can anyone recommend books they loved?
-Winter Garden by Kristen Hannah
-The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon
If you’re into mystery/suspense, I can give you some of my faves.
Yes please!
This was the first book by Kristen Hannah I've read but I loved it so much I need to check the rest out
@iuiblessing2018, sorry for my delayed response!
Some of my favorite mystery authors are:
Tami Hoag
Mary Higgins Clark
Lisa Gardner - Flora Dane books
Catherine Coulter - Savich & Sherlock series
J.D. Robb - Lt. Dallas series
James Patterson - Alex Cross series
David Balducci - Memory Man series and Atlee Pine series
Michael Connelly - Lincoln Lawyer & Harry Bosch series
I was considering getting this so glad you posted about it my favorite author is Jodi picoult I’m currently reading the book of two ways
Have you read Where the Crawdads Sing? Love, Loved that book!!
@icebergahead, not in my opinion. I do not enjoy the Lifetime channel. 😉 I also do not watch Hallmark movies.
@icebergahead, that’s not to say I didn’t cry. Because I did!! But I mostly read crime/detective books. This was a nice change of pace, but was not “fluffy.” Real heartbreak had me crying.
@blueismycolor @iuiblessing2018 🤣I'm the opposite! I LOVE Lisa Gardner, but never heard of Karin Slaughter! Imma check her out!
Karin Slaughter is freaking amazing. Go back to the beginning and start with Blindsighted. The majority of her books are a series, but she has a few standalones. You’ll love her books!
@blueismycolor I just read the preview on Blindsighted, DEF gonna be reading that one! 😍
I can’t wait to get my hold from the library! I’m so excited to read it!
I'm on book 13 in the Maisie Dobbs series and absolutely love the series. She's a psychologist/private investigator set in London in the early to mid 1900s. Fascinating cases and time period!
Oh I can definitely get behind something like this!! Thank you! Looking up now.
OOOOOHHHH this sounds like one I could get SUCKED into! Is it available in audible version ya think?
@leonardsquared ссылка
Yep! The characters are fascinating and I NEVER see the end coming!
Ooooh what's this one about? I feel like I kinda always end up readin the same book, just different characters. 🤣 I'm a sucker for James Patterson and anything crime/thriller-ish.
@iuiblessing2018 Not gonna lie, it TOTALLY made me cry. It was SO worth it though. To understand that world and time from an eyewitnesses point of view was.....idk...WORTH it is all I can say.
@leonardsquared, There's something special about a book that makes you show emotion.
@iuiblessing2018 Yes ma'am! 🙌 That's one I've actually read more than once. I freakin cry every time too, even though I knew the story. It's just that well written, you can ABSOLUTELY feel the emotion being described.
I read the book about the shettles method to conceive the gender you want. I really hope it work.
Need some good book recommendations
So I like reading like murder/mystery books. Any recommendations?!?
