Just called the doctors and she said the midwife won’t be in touch with me until around 12 weeks is that normal?? I’m sure with Reuben I was earlier than that to have bloods done and to make sure that everything was going ok.... x
This pregnancy my booking appointment was over the phone. She then arranged for another appointment at 7 weeks that was face to face and done bloods at the same time. But there wasn't a lockdown at the time so maybe that's why xx
I'm the same I will be 12 weeks when I go to my first booking appointment then 14 weeks for scan. Must be the new normal just now :/
Yeah she said on the phone that it’s different now cause of covid. I might book a reassurance scan for my own peace of mind xx
Unless your high risk face to face appointments are alot less because of covid xx

In my experience of being pregnant in the pandemic there very slack 🤷♀️I have seen the midwife twice and I’m 27 weeks pregnant with twins 🤷♀️ I think there services are very tight so they might not see you as often but with my first and second pregnancy your right I saw my midwife when I got pregnant at about 8 weeks and then again around 12 weeks so they might be trying to not see you as much so they reduce the risk of COVID x
@kelsey234 did she listen to the heartbeat at your 16 week?
My friend is pregnant she's just turned 16 weeks and hasn't seen her midwife once yet! And she lives in the same city just a different doctors x
@kerryy23 yeah she did! She asked if I wanted to though as she said its very possible we wouldnt hear it but it's nothing to worry about if not as baby is still small. It seems like some women arent getting the same amount of care which is worrying xx
@kelsey234 yeah she listened to mine too, I just wondered as I know some women havnt had that opportunity. Everything just seems to be all over the place with covid at the minute x
I have my first booking appointment on the 25th and I will be 8+5 and then I’m guessing at that appointment they put in for a scan and you get a letter? Seems a bit odd that they’ve said they don’t see you until 12w xxx
Congratulations, I had one with my first around 10wks then scan 2wks later, with my second they told me they would send a letter which didn't come so had to chase them up by the time I eventually got there we didn't know how far along so the midwife booked a scan for a hour after the appointment with her, then my 20week appointment was 3 weeks late was just a disaster second time around. Goodluck hope you can sort it xx
My booking appointment was at 9+6.
I know some surgery's are still doing it over the phone rather than face to face. I'd phone and just say you want to make a booking appointment
Yeah I’m gonna call back this afternoon otherwise I’ll be on the phone for ages. It took me 40 mins to get through this morning xxx
@nikki90xx did you retry this afternoon? I know different areas do things differently but where I am you have to have your booking appointment in order for your 12 week scan to be arranged. The midwife gave me my blood forms at the booking appointment to have done before my scan and then I had more bloods at my scan at the hospital x
@kerryy23, yeah they basically said due to the circumstances it’s upto the midwife to arrange bloods etc... our surgery is crap tbh so it really didn’t surprise me with the advice that they gave me xx
My midwife booked me for bloods etc at 8 weeks. 12 weeks is normal for a scan but not for first app xx
That’s what I thought... I’m sure I had bloods and my first midwife app at 8-9weeks. Xx
@nikki90xx yeah 12 weeks seems late to me as they do your bloods at the 12 week scan anyway so it would be silly for you to have a booking app which is when they take bloods aswell as scans and bloods in one week. I would try a different midwife or phone them directly and not go through the gp xx
@kelsey234, I think I’ve still got my midwifes number from when I had Reuben lol. I might just give her a quick call & just confirm with her xx
For a scan ide say that's normal but the booking in appointment seems very far away. That's usually around 6+wks.
That’s what I thought... if I’ve not heard anything by 7weeks I’ll get back in touch with them. With Reuben I had to go up and fill out the form obviously with covid she did it over the phone for me xx

I’m in shock not sure how to feel about this
Not sure how many mamas here are into make up like myself, but
I sure am glad the Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics sold out before I could get any. 👀👀👀 People are getting all types of sores👀
