So I need to vent. Wednesday had my first appointment for the new baby. Had the ultrasound a couple weeks ago. But I do not like this doctor. Talking to me like I’ve never done this before. But when I ask a question it was like a child answer. It took everything I had in me to not snap on her. I asked her how many more ultrasounds will I receive? She goes well Um this is your second baby so you had one and you will get one more. And I just looked at and said yeah this is my second baby but with my son I had an ultrasound done every two weeks! And I am not a child and you will not speak to me like a child and the fact that you have not read anything in my chart to see how my first pregnancy went shows me right away you are not the doctor for me. She had nothing to say. All of this while there was a learning student there following her around. So then had to get a pap. The doctor did not once ask me if it was okay for this student to be in the room or she did not even ask for this student to do my pap. After my appointment I was done. Like literally went home and just shut down. I refuse to go through for the next appointment or at all through my second and last pregnancy.
Sorry for the rant but it has been bothering me since Wednesday

Are you going to a practice where there is multiple doctors you will see through your pregnancy?
@meggcragle, call and talk to the office manger and tell them your experience they won’t schedule you with them again, I’m not sure which hospital you will deliver at ( I see your from berwick will it be Moses Taylor?) she maybe the on-call doctor when you go in she might still deliver you. It’s all things you need to let the office manger know. They can’t fix the problem if they don’t know about it
It might be HIPPA policy to ask if another person not fully licensed to be in the room with you, much less give the pap without permission. I would report all of what you said and noticed.
Any other time I had a student they asked me if it was okay for them to be in the room with me they never once did anything else
When through the same thing with my last baby. She had no bed side manners. Plus my original doctor because was high risk. Was a ass whole. But get a new one while you can or go over the doctor head. They have bosses to answer to as well.

It’s common to only get 2 ultrasounds.
But she definitely should have asked you about having students! I’ve always been asked if it’s okay. That’s not right at all.
Oh I know about the two ultrasounds but didn’t know if they would keep an eye on this baby bc of not knowing if it will have the same issues my son had. She was just beyond rude
@meggcragle, ahh okay! Yeah she should have approached it differently! I don’t blame you for being upset. That would make me uncomfortable and I wouldn’t want someone like that delivering my baby! If your going to change doctors do it sooner rather than later. Some won’t take new patients after a certain point.
@jellybeans33, yeah like I know this pregnancy will be different from my son but she didn’t even take record of how my first pregnancy was to think hmm maybe let’s do a another ultrasound or seem to care.

So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. If you’re not comfortable definitely switch. I switched doctors around 28 weeks because I felt rushed at every appt. I was much happier with the new office. They took their time and were more personal and welcoming.
