Annnnd i need an iron transfusion. My levels after 4 weeks of an increased dose didnt go up hardly at all. Anyone had one and care to explain the process? She didnt really explain over the phone.
You sit in a room hooked up to an IV, the amount and time is predetermined by your doctor. It burned so they put ice packs on my arm and I got super light headed so they kept me over night. I’m sure they’ll explain it better once you’re in there but the infusion itself isn’t too terrible. I suggest an extra battery charger for your phone, I used a portable one. My infusion took about 4 hours.
@insecureemu, it usually isn’t! My body just hated me. You should be fine though! Just communicate how you’re feeling with them. It’s different for everyone. I was sat up in a comfy recliner chair and they had blankets and such.
@insecureemu, they did for mine but this was over 4 years ago and not during covid LOL ask if you can bring your own! I wore a zip up hoodie so I could have my IV arm out and the rest of myself comfy. Definitely dress comfy and get a comfy mask since you’ll probably have to wear one the whole time.
