It’s been all over the news for days because I live in Oklahoma. I dont agree with it at all but being such a strict Bible Belt state most private schools are very strict about that kind of thing around here and usually are very open with you about their non gay policies. It’s absolutely horrible but they have no shame about it.
This is terrible, she's 8 years old, smh, they shouldn't have punished her for behaving in her age range
I'm glad she has people rallying in support of her.

I am SO glad she's getting the love and support she deserves. How traumatizing for her to show her feelings and get shunned.from all she has ever known.
Thank goodness!!! Her sweet little soul was probably crushed & she needs the extra love right now!!!
And PS-I would pull my kid out of this school so fast their heads would spin.

My husband is atheist. So we Don't go to church.
My kids pray at dinner with their papaw because I do teach them to respect others religions and beliefs.
I know alot of people complained about one of the teachers but they couldn't fire her 🙄
@raisinglittlegamers ugh. It's a touchy subject for me because we're a bunch of Jesus freaks here who love and accept everyone on their journey. It's freaking rough being a Christian these days. Sorry to blow your feed up.

I teach my kids to be kind and treat everyone respectfully. While we do not "follow" religion, we do. If that makes sense. Teaching them to love and be kind to everyone is following God IMO.

That is so heartbreaking. God loves her so much. There is a huge scholarly debate that the whole gay issue in the bible goes back to an error in translation and the word that was actually meant to be said was "pedophile". That Hebrew people were horrified at the man/boy relationships they witnessed in Greek society and condemned it as it should be. That's an argument for another day, but Jesus was incredibly radical, he loved everyone. He CHOSE to be with prostitutes, people labeled " insane"...if that school actually looked at the gospel of Jesus, they would know that. Jesus would 100% be at a Pride parade.
Jesus loves you, sweet girl. Don't let hateful people and their misinterpretation ever take that from you.
That's interesting. I believe, according to the bible that Jesus loved everyone, but hated sin. He spent time with prostitutes but he preached the gospel to them and they changed their behaviors so they could please god. Jesus didn't beat anyone over the head with gospel, as far as I've read... but, the only reason Jesus would be at a gay pride parade is to try and separate people "from their sins," idk 🤷🏿♀️ that's what I get from the reading.
It's believed that one of the reasons sodom and gomorrah was destroyed was because of homosexuality, (I have to do further reading on this.) As it stands currently, the bible condemns homosexuality 🤷🏿♀️ The bible always talks about a man to woman relationship, even a man with several wives, even men getting married to young girls, but it's never once mentioned homosexual love in a positive light.
All that being said, I'm not a Christian, if there is a heaven, I won't even be allowed 100 feet in any direction of it 😅 I'm ok with gay people, because I don't care who people love as long as it's consensual and age appropriate
@mujerstillregal The term homosexual didn't appear in a bible until 1946, so it has been debated if it hasn't been used to suit the needs of those who are translating the ancient texts. Here is an interesting read about the scripture. It's just food for thought. My personal mission is to live my life so that those who don't know God may come to know his love. If they don't want to, that's okay too.

@jenx based on how you are here, I think you are a great, kind, loving person. No the word "homosexual" never comes up in the bible, that word didn't exist at the time, the "act" however, has been mentioned and condemned, in several books in the bible.
Wow says the person who got mad that her child's school had an LGBT club there ....

Did anyone see that video a dad posted on his daughters FB page? He saw a post she made where she bashed her parents and cursed them, called them lazy and told them they should pay her for stuff she did around the house... So he called her out on it and put the video on her page!! Sorry if I missed a post already about this already, but I just saw the video and IT WAS AWESOME!!! Hahahhaa!
