I used to live down the street from this theatre. A reminder of the progressive area I came from...proud of my roots, but disliking the gentrification piece that led me here...

That’s how I feel about NY I miss it and the people they were crazy af but real you knew exactly how they felt no being nice to your face and talking behind your back here in the parts of Georgia I’ve been in they are soooooo fake I can’t deal they probably think I’m crazy cause I have no filter but I rather you know how I feel about you than play pretend I don’t have the patience for that

I am from NYC, people in NY are honest and real. I lived in FL for a few years and my god, some of the people I learned to dislike were so fake and dishonest. I could not tell who was truly my friend and who was foe. The racist crap I also witnessed (but that is a few events when I was living in FL). I kept telling myself, people still think like this?
Who has time to be so dam fake? If you do not like me then so be it.
I have never understood the energy burned to hate someone and yet pretend to like them......that’s crap. It also sounds to politic of a behavior😂

yes exactly I don’t have any friends out here but the people who moved down here with us which is my sil and she’s from Jersey and so is my other BFF , I tried to befriend my s.o uncles wife and I couldn’t she’s so fake and I guess she started to feel the vibe cause now every time an event comes up she’s “sick” 😂

@amouryaya09, I know where your parents live. Zay’s respite worker lives over there and I’ve taken her home 1-2 times. Yeah there are some parts of EG that aren’t as desirable, my dad lives over by the college and there are some neighborhoods that are in Elk Grove on that route I would avoid, especially the one with the good looking meth houses which is amazing to me.
I live near old town because it’s not as bougie and the better schools are over here and it’s a little cheaper. My friend says it’s kinda ratchet over here but I said “I’m from the bay, what you’re calling ratchet is TAME to me” 🤣🤣🤣
I hope your friend doesn’t get her house spray painted. It happened a lot up there during the election...

I like the area by the college and some by center parkway in the cuts. I prefer a little ratchet like I gotta feel comfortable. 🤣🤣🤣 I told her! She’s building which is great but girl was there nowhere else?!

The next two streets over from me have 2-3 bedroom places for decent rates. The elementary school they’re assigned to is really great. They have a head start on campus and everything! My 2 younger siblings go there and my sister goes to the charter 7-12 school now. I still would’ve been happy if Zay didn’t get into the charter, I just thought the full inclusion option was the better choice.
