That’s really sweet of you to say @leonardsquared! One of the people closest to me is a school psychologist so I have access to info. That’s actually how I got into Montessori education as a full inclusion opportunity vs a special Ed program.

Autism is a spectrum, every kid is affected differently. I’m not the most versed on the topic. I know what works for my child and I know how to find info and resources. I’m sure regardless of a group or not, there are plenty of us who are willing to share ideas and info and resources with you.

@fairykarmamomma, thank! You gave me some great info a while back and now I finally have my sons abs facility evaluation coming up at the end of the month! He should be starting mid February🥳 I was just wondering if you know of any good books on it? I’m trying to get a better grasp on things through his eyes. Lately he’s been extremely out of control and it’s wearing thin on my patience 😔 we’re both getting frustrated lately.

@isabellesmom93, true! I’ve had better luck with Facebook. Those groups are always too big for me.

Very true. There have been a few but often they die down after a week or two.

Oh wow both of her daughters have it? I’m sure she appreciates your support, even just lending a listening ear and having someone to vent to is huge🙌🏼

@isabellesmom93 yes, one is more mild and one is moderate to severe. I've always got her back. Sometimes we cry together. Sometimes we worry together, and sometimes we laugh so we don't cry together. Autism is a lot to deal with, making sure your kiddo has what they need to succeed at their highest functional.level, finding what works for them, which can involve a lot of trial and error and frustrations. Support is important and I know there are several mamas dealing with it directly who should see this. A group would be really good to have.
