How long does your first period last after getting the nexplanon implant? Today marks one week with my period😩🙄

I had it for the entire 3 years. My first period lasted 10 days. The first year I got pretty regular periods then it stopped. After I got it taken out it took me about 2-3 years to get my period back.

I had very little bleeding afterwords. They told me I would bleed like a normal period and as the day went on it got lighter and lighter and then stopped altogether by the next day. My sister had a few friends that had constant bleeding with it. And miscarriages. When she found out I got it she told me to get it out and then told me a few of her friends stories. Ive had it for almost 3 years now and i havent had any major issues with it.

My daughter just had hers removed after 1 year. Some people stop having periods all together. She had hers constantly for a year . She’d get a couple days , maybe a week or two break , then her period would come back . Her doctor said maybe she’s one of the unlucky ones.
