Had my first OB appointment today and I thought I would be getting a ultrasound but they said ultrasounds start at the 12 week mark?

Unless you have a history of missed miscarriage or are overly concerned, some practices wait until 12 weeks.
Usually they first scan is 8 weeks n up but a lot of people get them at 6 weeks and it also depends on the obgyn u go to. I got both of mine one exactly 6weeks and the other at 5w 5d
@sam.momx5, yeah then ur ob is probably the type of doctor to wait til 12 weeks lol my ob does them at 8 weeks . I got mine early bkz based off my LMP I was supposed to be about 8-9 weeks so wen they did the vaginal ultrasound they found out that I was only 6 weeks and then I got another ultrasound at 12,19,22, 28,32,36 lol I wasn’t high risk at all my ob just does a lot of ultrasounds lol
Will I get another ultrasound before she is born ? I'm 31 weeks .. I have only had 2 ultrasounds 😔

I only got one at 10 weeks with my second (my first appointment) because they couldn't pick up her heartbeat via fetal doppler.
Turned out I had anterior placenta that's why they couldn't pick it up with the doppler.
