Parent Question: How do you guys work as a team when it comes to your kids?

Who works? Clean chores? Cook? Puts baby to sleep? Or is it usually equal work?

Before covid I worked part time and hubby worked 50+ hours a week.

Since covid my job is closed down so I am home more, but I also am homeschooling my 2 nephews as well as my daughter. Thankfully hubby is still working.

But whenever hubby is home he helps around the house and with our daughter or our nephews. He does any chores I haven't been able to get to or just gives me a break.

I would say I've always been the primary caregiver for our daughter because I'm home more, but hubby definitely isn't a slouch and participates in any housework or childcare when he's home. But his main duties are mopping the kitchen floor and folding the laundry because those are the chores I hate doing the most.

We both work just he works out of the house. I try to have the house clean when he gets home and a plan for dinner. Most nights he cooks, I get homework and baths done. If I cook he does bath. I do bedtime with baby he handles the older 2.

@twinpower_94 yes I get up in the middle of the night with the baby. My husband works with power I'm not willing to risk his life by being tired because he wakes up with the kids.

We both work. On weeknights I will cook bc I get home first but then he will clean up after dinner. I do bath time and he does bedtime. It’s pretty equal for the most part. I do more on the weekends like laundry and grocery shopping.

I'm a stay at home mom so I do pretty much all the home work and my husband is kind of self employed so some days he's home all day and some days he's working but when it comes to cleaning if I ever ask him he would happily chip in quickly sweeping or dishes if I need him to. I cook. I put the baby to sleep but sometimes he does bedtime routine for our older 2 which is nice for him and them. We have a really nice routine that works well for us as of now. It'll be interesting to see how it changes when baby comes in February. But we will get into a routine then too 🙂 the main importance is communication.

@twinpower_94 when they were real little it was a lot of the same honestly. He would cook sometimes but for the most part I did the house work

My husband works from home. The kids clean. I don’t. I cook generally. The kids put themselves to sleep.

I stay home. Hubs works. I do majority of the cleaning but he pitches it when I get overwhelmed. He also does the yard work.

When it comes to the kid I mostly take care of her during the week and weekends he helps with bedtime, dinner or whatever.

We split household work, and we split bedtime, switching who does which kid each night

For Fun

With most of us in a sleep regression or exhausted from being working moms, or just plain bored I figured it would be fun to get a little game started... so who's up for 2 truths and a lie? It's easy.. you post 3 facts about yourself, 2 true and 1 lie and when you guess you post yours here's mine:

Yep your right Mary. I only have one. Want more but haven't got there yet!!!
Omg keep that pack away from me ?
Gee I'm late and missed so much. Can't wait to come back later and read them all.

Religion Conspiracy/Theory

**This is not to bash peoples religion and beliefs but to talk about our own theories and ideas** I would like to discuss a certain topic that came to mind after talking to my SO. I know some of you ladies like a good conspiracy talk so i would like to have a good discussion and hear thoughts of others. So back story my SO friends got very offended when he mentioned not believing in god or religion and it got me thinking. Is religion a failing form of goverment cont...
