I personally have never had any of the offered tests while pregnant. My reasoning is that no matter the outcome of the tests, the fact that I am pregnant will not change. Of course no one wants to get bad news during pregnancy or after the birth of their beautiful baby, but I feel like the tests have so many chances at false positive/negative and I don't want my pregnancy ruined. I want to be joyful and happy. I still feel this way even having one medically special baby and one normal baby. My sister was told her baby was likely to have severe issues and was given lots of reason she wouldn't have a good life outcome, etc, but the baby was born normal and is now 13 and thriving, making a positive impact on her local community. Only you know if the tests would change anything for you. Safe and happy pregnancy with healthy baby!!!
