I’ll be doing the same thing tonight. The one tip that I’ve seen everywhere is to not fall for the no chill recipes. For the clean edges the dough needs to be chilled after it is made. I have a recipe that I’m going to use because I was searching for “easy sugar cookies”, but I can’t attest to how well they will turn out yet.

I have this written in my personal recipe book. I swap the measurements for almond extract and vanilla. You will not regret doing that... lol make sure after you mix the dough, be sure to keep it cold. That's the trick with cut out cookies, is keeping the dough chilled!
