Are you guys going to be celebrating Christmas with all your family this year? For us it will just be my husband & kids, sister in law, her husband and their kids (the only reason we will be with them is because we live not in the same house but same property and we see each other everyday),

but it’s been hard having to tell the rest of our family we will not be joining. Anyone else?

We’ll still spend Christmas with my sister and her family, and my mom but not sure about anyone else. We usually see my husband’s family on Christmas Eve but his mom is very high risk so we might have to skip it this year. I already got Covid but my husband hasn’t so there’s still a chance for him to get it and spread it.

Just us 3, no one else is invited into our home (for obvious reasons). Everyone is sending gifts, calling and or zooming.

It was not hard for us to make that decision. We have not had anyone here since December of last year. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I am truly thankful for having DH and dd with me through this struggling year, together.

May all families whom have been affected find peace in their losses, god bless and stay strong.

Let’s talk family dinner. Who sits down as a family for dinner every night? We do. We were always the kids who had to be home at 5pm for dinner and I’ll do the same with my kids. Mummy’s of same gender babies! I have just announced our third pregnancy to family & friends, and I have been inundated with messages saying ‘congratulations! You must be hoping for a girl this time?’ Honestly so many of the same message, and on the phone to my family they’re saying ‘hopefully a girl this time!’. Or ‘fingers crossed for a girl’. Why do people do this?? We are having a third child because we WANT a third child, I think it’s so rude because it’s implying we wouldn’t be happy if it was our third boy 😠 it really upsets me. I love my kids so much! Me & my OH love guessing but for other people to say we ‘must be hoping’ & ‘fingers crossed it’s a girl this time’ is really rude, I think anyway. Have any of you same gender mummy’s experienced the same?x
