Adams in a charity run one, I think private is better for the children cos they tend to go by the child's interest whereas schools don't they do it as a group sort of thing tbh I haven't gotta clue! Either way he will absolutely love it when you looking for him to start xxx
Well we’ve got a sign up with a private one on the 4th if dec, but I’ve recently found out that the school I’m working at has time for twos so it would be easier for him to go there so I can take him and bring him back the same times I do, plus if anything happened I’m right there. I do like the other nursery though it’s not far away but it’s like out the way and when my partner starts work it will be difficult, I just want him to go to a good nursery but it’s so hard to decide xxx
Both of mine went to private (only because I work in one so they came with me) I only have little experience with school nurseries & like any setting imagine it comes down to the individual setting.
Being private usually means lower ratios so more staff. I have 5 of us in our preschool when we really only need 3. Parents are paying so have high expectations. Understandibly. So we are always aiming for outstanding. I agree with Tammy in that we follow the individual child when planning. I plan for each of my key children rather than the group as a whole. (I'm not sure if they do it that way in a school Nursery 🤷♀️)
I personally found a school nursery better. I found them more inclusive of my child's SEN needs, they needed help with social interactions and taking part in activities and at the private nursery he was not encouraged/supported to take to part in said activities and left to do whatever he wanted. I'm not saying either is better or worse, as others have said it depends on the individual settings.

Mine goes private but only because I work in a school so I'm at work 7.30-4.45 and nursery school hours are 9-3
