How do you guys control your kids from overeating? This is new to me because my oldest doesn’t really like eating so now that my youngest has a appetite through the roof Idk how to deal with it. She’s one & just ate 2 pancakes, 3 French toast sticks & had a bottle of milk with cereal & still looking for a more food.

My daughter has always has an appetite but I will never deny her food. Instead I feed her things that help her feel full longer. I focus on protein, fruits, and healthy wheats instead of empty carbs. Oatmeal for breakfast helps a ton. Protein pancakes/waffles and fruit. She always gets protein at lunch and dinner with a veggie. Cheese sticks and fruits for snacks are our go to. She's can have as many cheese sticks or fruits as she would like and she's older so she just grabs them.

@makeupmomplustwo_ no problem. I know how you feel. My kiddo can sometimes out eat me but her pediatrician says as long as she is active and her diet is well balanced she's good....your kiddo just started walking (I think) so she's burning a lot more calories now and her body is trying to keep up with it.

the funny thing is she’ll only walk for food 😂🥴

my kids always loved strawberries and blueberries at that age. And any kind of melon, watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew. I'd cut everything up really small of course. Cut up avacado is a soft healthy food too. Like the other women said, feed her as much as she wants, but make it fresh and healthy stuff. Peas are a good snack. I always had some cans of organic peas and carrots on hand bc they're nice and soft and a quick, easy, healthy snack. Yogurts and homemade smoothies are always popular for breakfast in my house.

They go through big growth spurts after one, so the more they move the more calories they burn, because they're no longer floor potatoes. Lol my son will eat us out of house and home and he's so skinnnnnyyyy because he literally never stops moving. Both of my older two eat well. As long as it's not like, cake or candy, or sweets, let her eat.

That’s normal and won’t last forever. Just give her whatever she wants. My son eats all day long but doesn’t gain any weight. But then he goes through phases where he doesn’t want to eat at all. It balances out. As long as it’s healthy foods and you’re not feeding her ice cream and chips all day long then she’s probably fine.
