It has changed so much in recent years. I'm not a big fan of the pop culture feeling it has now, but the old show was so great. I guess things are ever changing though. Surely won't be the same without him and I can't imagine anyone doing as fine of a job as he has done. No one is ever good as good as the original and especially in this case, no one will compare. But I do hope they keep the show going. It's quality, family friendly entertainment and we need it more now than ever.
I'm so incredibly sorry to hear that! Please give her a hug for me. I am happy that Mr. Trebek was given the time he had to say,"Until we meet again", to his family. My prayers for your auntie that she will have comfort and closure as she fights the good fight. Hugs mama!
He did. He was a great man of faith and trust in the Lord and he said publicly that it was the prayer of loyal fans that was keeping him going. The Lord used him in such a great way to show us that faith and trust can carry us through any storm and though we may not get the healing on this side of heaven, healing does come. Mr. Trebek expounded what is is to be a Christian and to hold love and respect for self and others. He was such a good man from all I have ever known of him. Greatness is not for us to claim but for us to give glory to God. He was feeling better but also acknowledged that his time here was coming to an end. We all pass at some point. I am always happy for those who get to say farewell and to have closure in spite of an illness. I feel like it's the blessing given us in exchange for our pain. I'm so sorry your family and especially your aunt have to go through this but I pray it brings your family closer together and gives you comfort in the love you have for one another.
A man of humility and great faith in the Lord, who brought so many together over the course of his tenure with Jeopardy. He worked right up until the end.

My father passed five years ago and when I was a kid I can't remember him missing a single answer on Jeopardy. Watched it every night.

oh wow! That’s impressive. I wasn’t very good with it, but my hubby answers most correctly. I swear I can’t think fast enough!
I don’t think if I could ever watch it without Alex as the host. It just wouldn’t be the same.

Oh my goodness, my husband will be so upset. We absolutely love Jeopardy and Alex Trebek. He was such a neat individual.

my husband was just reading his autobiography and absolutely loved it. He would tell me all about him every morning over coffee.
