What does everyone do for a living? And if you are currently a stay at home mom, what did you do before?
Curious. I haven't really had a career. But I've worked at a school and I've worked at a couple grocery stores with in the last 12 years but mostly I've been a stay at home mom.
I worked in the operating room as a surgical tech for about 9 years before having kids. Now I’m a SAHM. I was contemplating going back part time just for adult interaction but then Rona came along and well... here I am at home still. 😅😅😅
Before my children pursuing a music career was my passion..went to school for it got a degree, dipped my toe in the music industry even was signed to a major label but at the time I didn't truly understand the hustle behind it and lost interest. After that I ended up being a Manager at a pharmacy/drug store for 6yrs. Had my oldest, became a CNA, had my youngest, went down to part time and eventually it changed to full time sahm. I'm currently pursuing my music career again, have a little side business hustle lol and am also taking classes online to become a substitute teacher. I LOVE my family with all my heart I'm just at that point where I'm ready to get back out there.
I have a degree in Interior Design but I've been a stay at home mom since I had my first baby 9 years ago

I work for a digital marketing agency and manage paid ads for clients primarily on Google, Bing and Facebook. Currently I’ve got clients in real estate, luxury pet boarding and a small private college. It’s a fun mix of things to work on.

I’m an administrator at an elementary school.
I was a bartender for about 7 years and went back to bartend for about 6 months after having my first born. I cried every time I left him so my husband told me to quit. I stayed home for about 1.5 yrs. then worked at a school part time while going to school full time. And then we got a house a year after so I worked as a pre k assistant full time and finished school (associates degree) but went part time. Now I’m a sahm so I can finish off my degree online.
Educational Assistant in a High School. Always thought I wanted to teach until I tried this and love it so much more.
Cardiac and vascular ultrasound. I took a 2 year leave when I had Jacob and still on leave with TJ. Not sure if I’m going to go back
Before a stay at home mom, I was a certified nurses assistant
Went to school for 3 years to become a nurse but then became a bartender at a popular bar and been there 8 years. It’s currently closed due to covid so for the last month I’ve been a stay at home mom.

@dance.uni., Thank you! I plan to go back soon I’m not getting any younger🙁 lol
I have an accounting degree and my CPA license. I worked full time for a public accounting firm before kids, then I decided to be a SAHM for a bit. Now I just work from home during tax season and leading up to extension deadlines. Normally no more than 30 hours a week during those times. It was hard putting my career on hold after all the hard work, but I love the time with my kids.
Before I became a full time stay at home mom 4 years ago I was a dental assistant.
@icebergahead It was. Pretty much something new everyday.
Went from full time to part time, ER Veterinarian technician.
I've mostly always been a stay at home mom or just a housewife before I had kids, I have worked in medical records. last year & some of this year I worked as an Ophthalmic Retina Technician for a Retina Specialist & LOVED IT!! I plan to go back to school for radiology next year though, then eventually do ultrasound technology❤️
I'm currently a stay at home mom🙌
I'm currently a stay at home mom but I work SUPER part time (like less than 10 hours) as a court ordered supervisor. It mainly covers my target habit 😂. Before I took time off I was a licensed speech pathologist. I planned to go back to that this year because kiddo is in kindergarten but I'm going to ride out the covid-19 wave for the time being at home.
I really don't understand the judgment between being a working mom or a stay at home mom. If you need to work, work. If not, don't. No need to degrade other women for doing the opposite of you. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
What do you stay at home moms do for work?
