Ladies I know it's late but I need help. My son as I have said before is being assessed for autism they are also looking at possible tourette's as he has bad tics. At the moment we are in the middle of another tic attack they have been going on for about an hour and a half on and off and I have no idea on what I can do to help him. Has anyone been In similar situations with some advice??

Is there something that happened about an hour ago that couldve triggered it? A word? A sentence? A loud noise or maybe something he wore or touched that made him uncomfortable? I know it may be hard to try and mentally trace back in your head what could have set him off, but sometimes figuring out the trigger is what could give you an idea on how to settle him down/relax him a bit. If anything, try some breathing exercises with him. Pretend that you're dragons and you're blowing fire out your mouths together. Deep breaths, then big fire breaths.

He was asleep before hand but it could have been something that happened in his dream or something. He finally came down not long after this and was able to settle and eventually go to sleep without being scared but thank you for the breathing exercise game I'll try it the next time he has an attack and hopefully it works 😊 xx
