So I have a question to all the moms here my son is 1yrs old and I struggle so bad to stop breastfeeding him but he also don’t want his bottle milk what should I do :(
My oldest was nursed until he was 2 years and 2 months. B U T he was also fed normal food and drank juice. I only nursed him for naps and bed time. Other than that he had normal stuff. It's hard, they cry and fight but I also found out my son was lactose intolerant and that's why he didnt take to milk. When we did get him to take milk he was on the 2% lactose intolerant milk and he LOVES IT. hes 4 now.
My son also eats regular food so I’m not too worried but it takes a toll on me having him wanting to latch on me especially since I’m expecting again 🥺
@esterarias I know that feeling when I stopped with my first was because I was pregnant again and it hurt when he would latch on so I just told like like look little dude mammas nips hurt and you gotta start drinking milk in a big boy cup. And he did. It was easier when someone else gave it to him. With me he refused because I'm mamma and he knows I got the good milk lol
I'm in the middle of weaning too. I've been dwindling down kind of slow. Remove and replace one breast feed session throughout the day each week. Leave morning and night feed for last. My baby won't drink milk so I'm having to give him juice or water to fill that in, and other dairy things to replace milk like cheese and yogurt. I've been trying oat milk and horizon organic milk because it's sweeter than other milks and he does good with that. I don't force it, if he sips great if not then I'll give water or juice. Just make sure to put left over milk back in the fridge right away to avoid spoilage. Also, I've been doing a little bit of milk in breast milk to help the transition.
Oo that’s a good idea I’ll give that a try and see if that helps
I know Is so early but i feel flutters it feels so weird but i love it 🥰
need suggestions....
So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
My other son was nursed until 4 months than formula due to pregnancy early but anyways when I switched him to milk the easiest is to nurse less and pump into the bottle a little and add milk and each time slowly add more milk than breast milk and eventually it will work. Some kids dont like a bottle of milk. Maybe try a cup with a straw or a sippy cup
That's how we got my second and first to drink milk. Both my kids are lactose though.
