Why Can't Maisy Fall Asleep? Tips for Exhausted Parents

Omg. I can’t get Maisy to sleep. This had been an ongoing issue since she was born. She’s exhausted but anytime she starts to fall asleep she forces herself awake. We’ve been at bedtime for three hours. Shes exhausted but won’t allow herself to sleep.

I’ve tried adding/cutting naps, moving them. She’s fed, changed, I try rocking her, I try music, I try white noise, I try sitting with her while she’s in her crib and she just won’t! I’m beyond frustrated and need some quiet time in the evenings 😡

I know im.late to the post but there is a book that you can get its called how to solve your child's sleeping problems, my mom and sister both used it and said they live by the book, worth a shot if it comes down to it.

My son was the same as an infant. It didn’t matter what I tried, it didn’t work. I feel your pain. I’m sorry. 😐

My daughter was always afraid she would miss something. She was a terrible sleeper until around 5. And even now, she isn't a great sleeper but it's tolerable.

@jenx, Yep! My son definitely had FOMO lol. I don’t think people who haven’t had a terrible sleeper really get it. All the tips and tricks mean nothing with truly bad sleepers.

Have you tried moving bedtime up about 30 minutes? When mine were that age, the more tired they were, the harder it was to get them to sleep.
