So, I have looked into and discussed it. Doctor says that sitting her up and supporting her is not an issue as she can hold her head up for more than a few minutes on her own.
Baby won't bear weight on leg I have a walking 10 month old and she has been extra fussy yesterday and today. Today I noticed she didn't really want to crawl, she would just cry until I came and picked her up. After I fed her, I tried setting her down to play with her big sister and she just started crying and wouldn't put any weight on her left leg. She will put weight down on her right leg but then just cries until you pick her back up. I thought maybe she just didn't want to be put down (as baby's often do). I tried a few more times over the next 30 minutes and she still won't put any weight on it. I had a meeting (I work from home), so I took her upstairs to my husband. She is now playing with her siblings and happy, but he text me (from upstairs) and says she still won't put weight on it. She is just sitting there playing.
Still no crawling but she gets into sitting position on her own. Any advice how to encourage crawling?
I know every baby is different, but when did your little one sit up and crawl?

Normal crawling age is 8-11 months so you have nothing to worry about. My daughter crawled at 9 months and my son at 8.5 months. My sister’s two kids didn’t crawl til 10 months and 11.5 months. Just keep giving her lots of tummy time on the floor and let her explore her movements.

My daughter is a tiny thing and she was pulling herself up to stand before she could sit unassisted. She was more interested in trying to crawl than sit too.

My youngest was like this! He was doing nothing at 8 months he learned to crawl before he could sit up on his own I blamed the chunkness and after that it was one milestone to the next

Aw bless her! I think its definitely because shes chunky! Try to prop her up more often with cushions/pillows. My 3rd didnt crawl until 10 months 😂 he was also very chunky and off the charts xx

@flamingfiremom my son was 28lbs at 7 months. He sat up unaided at 8-9 months. His first steps were when he was 11 months He was really heavy and it meant he was very unbalanced 😅

My daughter was a late sitter too. At her 6 month well check her doctor discoved that she had hip dysplasia. At 7 months she had surgery to correct it.
I do not know for sure if her hip dysplasia was the cause for her delayed sitting or if it was an early sign of her autism. She also has low muscle tone (which is common among autistics)
She didn't receive her autism diagnosis until she was 3 years old (I however suspected autism when she was 13 months)

my son and my daughter was about 16-17lbs at her age too and taking steps walking So I don’t think it’s her weight that is making her not sit up .. I’d definitely take her to see a doctor hopefully it’s nothing serious.! I’d sit her up a lot more on ur lap and like hold her with ur hands on her lower back. That helped my kids sit up on their own quick
