I never had it all but I was never selfish! There were times where of course I was stingy with little things but aren't we all at one point. Some people raise their children by buying them a whole bunch of things and they try to show their love that way, that's not love. Love is spending quality time , love is showing that you care and being there when it matters most, love is sharing that last piece of pie that you love so much and many more things I could mention ❤. Money is nice to have if you want stability but money can't buy actual genuine love.

My dad and I are not close at all. He sees support as just money. The times I’ve tried to talk to him about needing support (as in love and whatnot) he just spouts off anything he did financially for me like vacations etc. it’s sad that some people see love and support as just buying things.

Wow so sorry you had to go through that with your dad. 😢 I went through things with my dad and mom but different things , my mom passed in 2010 but my dad is still alive and I only really love him from a distance because of the type of person he is. I forgive but never forget.
