I have a job interview thursday and I know they are going to ask me to tell them something about myself not related to the job.
Honestly, theres nothing.
I work full time, I have a 2 year old, we've been in lockdown for 6+ months. I have no hobbies or skills, I LOVE my job so thags my hobby I go home and use pinterest and brainstorm new ideas. 🙄 and I'm really sad and boring.
I always ask this question.
It’s to get to know a little about you.
Also I find it relaxes people a little.
Im usually happy to hear about people’s families eg
I have a little boy and we enjoy baking together. When he’s in bed I like to binge watch tv. 😂
Whenever I have given interviews this question isn't really involved in being counted in the points towards. Its more about finding out a little about you and who you are and how you will fit in the work place in question. if your passion/hobbie is your children and Pinterest let that shine. Talk about what you do with your kids why you Pinterest ect...
Activities with your son?
You can say baking or creating things with him, it’s a learning experience for you both and something you do together.
Thanks everyone. Unfortunately I didnt get it despite being told it was the best interview and presentation the interviewer had ever sat it on, there was candidate with existing affiliations to the place and they got it but thanks all
