This is going to sound so weird. But I honestly think I have some kind of PTSD. Maisy is an absolute nightmare to get to sleep and I have spent HOURS getting her to sleep 3+ times a day. The one day I counted 7 hours of fighting her.
Now every-time I go in her room even if it’s just to clean or put away laundry I feel like I’m on the verge of a panic attack.
Anyone experience something like this?
I have ptsd and I’m not sure putting your child to bed is traumatic event or even close so maybe her room is just stressful for you. I’d maybe switch up your sleeping training routine sounds like it’s not working for you guys, if your stressed I am sure she is just as stressed if not more. If your fighting her for 7 hours to sleep she likely isn’t tired. How many naps is she taking if your putting her to sleep 3+ times a day? At her age my kids only took 1 nap a day.
This has been ongoing since she was born. I honestly don’t think it’s anything to do with her sleep schedule I think it’s just her and her difficult personality. I have tried so many changes and nothing works. I never used to start out stressed putting her to bed but after an hour anyone would be stressed.
I can’t even be in her room without anxiety and if I spend a prolonged amount of time in there it turns into a full blown anxiety attack.
@maddoxsmama, ya that doesn’t sound right. I totally get the stress when they won’t go to sleep I have def been there before but at this point your gonna have to switch up what your doing or she will have difficulty with sleep likely for the rest of her life especially if this has been going on since birth. I recommend trying a set routine for sleep training such as the Ferber method, I did this with my youngest who had a great sleep schedule his whole life before getting his first cold and then refused to sleep. It was stressful but after a week we had no issues, my best friend used it on her daughter as well at 9 months and no issues her daughter was sleeping fine in a couple days (she had a hiccup a few months in and had to redo it tho).
Anybody body start potty training at 1?
Like starting with once a day going the same time every day ?
To get them on schedule ??
I was 🤔 maybe like before bed to put her on the potty , since I work early in the am and usually don’t have time .
Edit: training a girl
68 more days to go
How much longer do you mamas have and time sure does feel like it's standing still.
Opinions on crying it out?
My baby is 8 1/2 months old. I've tried the no tears method and it worked a couple times but now it doesn't anymore. I do squats while holding her and rock her (21 lbs baby) for over an hour each nap all for nothing. My friend said she did cry it out and by the 3rd day her baby would only cry 5 minutes and now he's totally fine with sleeping in the crib.
Opinions please? I am the only one who actually raises my kid. My fiancé does not help and I have no family that ...
I have a feeling my MIL is going to expect/try to get us to go to her house on Mother’s Day... 😂 Nope. 🙅🏻♀️ Not happening lady. That’s my day now. 💁🏻♀️🤣
So idk if I’m an asshole for thinking this but a girl I used to go to school with is having her 3rd kid and she’s planning a baby shower and she had one with her other two. I feel like a baby shower is something you do with ur first pregnancy. I live far from my family so I didn’t have one but i did have a baby registry and I’m not even doing that with this pregnancy. Idk I just feel like 3 baby showers is a lot! Especially when she gets things handed to her. Idk maybe I’m an ass for thinking that
Lol no it’s just stress from kids lmao I take out the lightbulb and sit by the door take her back every time it works
