My son has been potty training for 6 months but still poops in his pants. I keep him in underwear at home and he can stay dry for 2 hours and goes pee whenever I take him to the bathroom. But he won’t go on his own and won’t go when he has to poop. He poops while playing then doesn’t tell me and just continues to play. Usually his sister is the one to smell it on him or I’ll notice he’s wet since he always pees when he poops. I’ve tried candy rewards, sticker chart and I even bought cookies but he just doesn’t care.
I never had this problem with my daughter. She always pooped in the toilet when we started training her. I don’t know what else to do so I guess we’re going back to pull-ups. I’m tired of rinsing 💩 out of underwear! 😩

I don’t blame you. I had to rinse poop out of my youngest’s underwear once when we did our 3 day training & its literally the worst! 😩
I hope it gets better.
Also when we were training...we’d set a timer for about every 15mins & he knew when it went off, he had to go try to potty. It’s tedious but it really helped with each of my kids. We did that for about 2 days & by the third day he was recognizing when he needed to go & we’ve been accident free since, day & night.

He won’t agree to go that often. It’s a big fight. I take him every 1.5-2 hours and he goes every time and stays dry in between. So we have no problem with that part. It’s just he won’t go to the toilet when he has to poop, he just goes while playing then doesn’t say anything. I even take him when I know he has to go or if he’s farting a lot, but he’ll sit there for a couple minutes then run off and play. He won’t take the time to push it out.
