Is it selfish to invite people over every week when your roommate has severe asthma and takes Covid seriously?
Is it selfish to invite a bunch of people over your house every week if you have roommates and know they are social distancing/trying to separate themselves from large crowds for the time being? I mean I understand with roommates you can’t really tell the other person what they can and can’t do but I find this a little selfish especially if you know your roommate has severe asthma and wants to take the whole Covid thing serious. My sister had a talk with her roommate a few weeks ago so instead of going out to parties every week she invites everyone over. I told her she needs to have another talk with her roommate because clearly the conversation went in and out of one ear.

That is SO disrespectful and not okay at all.

I think when you have roommates you can’t just do what you want. You always need to be considerate of others so yes bringing the parties home where she has a roommate practicing safety procedures is selfish. If she wanted to continue to go out and not take it serious that’s her choice but to bring a bunch of people home is not okay.

When having a roommate you can’t just do what you want, you have to respect the person you are living with.
