Because goldfish get big. They need bigger than the little bowls you see them in. I would be livid if someone gave my child a live goldfish as a party favor. I would have to go buy an aquarium, a filter, all the food. A fish is still an animal 👌

Goldfish need so much care to keep alive! I would be so upset to get one as a party favor! We have multiple fish tanks at home, and goldfish are the hardest fish we have! Imagine getting one as a surprise, not being prepared for it, and having your child get attached, then it dies days later and your child is devastated! Please don’t do it! The fish store was right not to sell you any!

I personally wouldn’t be okay with someone giving my kid a fish as a party favor. And what if someone just outright refused to take one? You’d be left with a lot of fish.
Maybe keep the bowls and make it into a DIY craft that involves a fake fish for the boys.

I definitely would be pissed if my kid was offered a live animal at a party. That’s a lot more responsibility. You can’t just put that on someone.

Omg i lost my pics but for my sons 2nd bday I hate gold fish and the table center peices
