LONG POST
Sorry for the late update ladies, I've been swamped at work the past few days !! So I seen the specialist on wednesday, as y'all know my doctor found amniotic bands on during my anatomy scan and wanted to see if I had amniotic band syndrome. Turns out that I do in fact have amniotic bands, but I do not have the syndrome, THANK GOD!! The bands that I have are called synechiae! Pronounced sin-a-key-ah. It's basically scar tissue completely wrapped with fetal membranes, from my previous pregnancy losses. When the specialist told me that, it made me sad because I thought of all my babies that I have lost on my TTC journey. I was relieved to know that most of the time they pose no significant threat when it comes to the growth of my baby... he said breech is common in pregnancies with uterine synechaie. Explains why my boy is still breech so I'm not sure if he will eventually turn yet or not but I'm hoping he will. He also brought up my placenta covering part of my cervix, he told me it has plenty of time to move out of the way in time for vaginal birth ! Also, I have still yet to feel kicks. I'm almost 20 weeks now! I hate it !!! Jeremiah was so cute on ultrasound, he was showing us all of his fingers and toes and his heart and of course his ding dong 😂😂😂 what boy doesn't!! The specialist said he was very active, he has super long arms and he said he is a big boy.. definitely is taking after daddy. He is already 10 ounces. My baby bump is growing so big already ! Nearing the end of my scan, I learned that jeremiah has a cyst on his brain. The dr said that it's usually a marker for down syndrome, trisomy 18 and other genetic disorders. He said all my genetic testing came back negative for everything and that materniT21 is a highly reliable test that he trusts 100% ... so he did a full , thorough, anatomy scan... he said my baby isn't showing features of babies with downs.. and also no abnormalities with any body parts associated with trisomy 18, 21. He said it may resolve on it's own in 8 weeks time, if it doesn't, we will have to do more specific testing on why this cyst is actually there and what it means, the risks, and so forth. So I go back in November and I'm hoping it's gone by then. Fingers crossed !! Please say a prayer it goes away. I've been a nervous wreck since this whole situation has started to begin with. I've lost 3 pounds from all the stress. It's just so scary to be faced with things you have absolutely no control over, especially when it comes to your unborn child. I'm attaching a few pictures of jeremiah. These are my scans from wednesday. If you look at the picture of his leg and foot, you can see one of the amniotic bands. He also has bands that stretch across his body ! Also, I took a pic of my baby bump today, I'll be 20 weeks in a few days.
Thank God everything is going well. I was waiting on the update . This is good news . And you look really good !!
In Jesus name everything will be normal on your next scan !!!!!! Try to be calm and when u feel scared pray .... Faith over fear 💙
That’s good. My nephew was born with a cyst on his brain and it went away within a few days. My sister in law was told it’s perfectly normal for babies to have a cyst at birth and it go away shortly after.
This gives me hope, thanks for your response!
I’ve been waiting for this update. Good news that you don’t have the syndrome.
The genetic testing is usually very good and your doctor doesn’t sound too worried at the moment. I’m glad he did a thorough scan for you. Praying for you and baby Jeremiah, take care and get gaining that healthy weight back. We don’t want you getting ill!
It’s pretty common for babies to still be breech at 20weeks - I know the bands add in the extra unknown but still lots of time to hopefully flip into position 🤞
Praying the cyst resolves before the next appointment and you can find some peace in the mean time! ❤️
Your bump is looking soooo cute btw
I'm sure hoping he will!! Thank you !!
I had amniotic band syndrome when I had my last daughter. She was born missing half of her left palm and fingers but at 5 years old you would never guess she is any different from any other kindergartener in her class. I was terrified of the unknown but she is perfect to us.
So scary !! Thank god it wasn't worse !!
I've been so worried about you guys!! This is great news💙 praying about the cyst!! You look so cute!! My bump is getting huge🤪
Thank you love !! I'm gonna go check out your baby bump in a few !! Lol
So glad to hear you and baby boy are okay!!! I’ve been so worried
Thanks so much hun, I was a wreck !!
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
Praying, praying praying!
