Getting ready to start decorating my sons room and I really want to get him a big boy bed. Like no crib or a toddler bed but like a twin or full size bed. Something he can grow into and have for a few years has anyone done this before? I’m wondering if I should or not but I would obviously get like a stepping stool and a gate so he doesn’t fall out or anything. I just find that toddler beds are a waste of money since kids grow so fast and right now my son just has a bassinet so it’s not something that could convert into a toddler bed anyway.

We got this for my son! Its the "top" piece to a bunkbed modified to be on the floor. He will be 2 next month and he loves it!

@ajaecymone184 I got it second hand on a buy and sell group but I dont think it's complicated. They guy modified it himself with 2x4s and plywood for the bottom support. We just painted it 😊
Both of my boys just have full sized beds with a railing attached on the side.
I bought a crib that goes from crib toddler bed day bed to full bed
My son has a full and then we have a railing so he doesn't fall out. I wouldnt waste money on a stairs or anything. It takes like 2 tries for them to learn and the longer they dont get out alone the better!
We bought a crib that converts into a toddler bed which is how we have it set up now! We don’t plan on getting him a new bed till after 4 as he moves around a lot still and something bigger he’d be moving around and falling out of even with guard rails.
You could try a twin and maybe have it up against a wall and have a guard rail
I did with my oldest after she turned 1, she still has the bed that she can grow in to! I plan on doing the same with my other 2 as well!
