Spending my evening boiling and bleach soaking my cloth diapers due to my mom washing them wrong and getting an ammonia build up. My poor baby girl got ammonia burns from them 😔 but with boiling, bleaching, and a proper wash routine they should be good as new!

I have to strip and then bleach my cloth diapers... Stupid hard water. I was adding borax to the wash but our hard water was just too much....
So not looking forward to it but i have like 29 weeks to do that lol

I love cloth diapering and it's definitely worth the work to boil 20 diapers and 40 inserts and bleach soak them for 45 mins to get them back. We don't have hard water and idk if my mom used too much or not enough detergent. But it's such a science to get the wash routine just right 🤦♀️

I think honestly part of it was the stupid smart washer. Every since the top loader washer with the agitator gave out I kept getting smells here and there. I was washing enough diapers that they should have agitated again. I hate "Smart washers" and when I get my own place with one I refuse to get one lol

having a good agitator in a washer is so important!! I didnt have one for the longest time and my clothes never were clean. I got a new machine and recently had to clean the washer itself because it left a terrible smell on everything.
