I froze bananas a while ago and took them out of the freezer to thaw. As they thawed they turned...black kinda. They don't smell rotten but are they still good to make banana bread

They should be fine. If I want to make banana bread or something & don’t have overripe ones...I bake them in the oven & the peel turns completely black like this.

If that's the peel then throw away the peel. The banana itself will look dark yellow, maybe even grayish but is fine that way. Next time, take the peel off. We freeze bananas around here for smoothies but never with the peel.

Banana itself is fine. That’s just what happens when you freeze it in the peel. Next time when your going to freeze just unpeel them first. That’s how I freeze them.
