I really need some prayers right now. My doctor just called as he just got the chance to review my ultrasounds from my anatomy scan. He is referring me to a specialist who I'm currently awaiting a call from to get registered in. He says he thinks he sees amniotic bands on my ultrasounds and wants to rule out if I have amniotic band syndrome. The weird thing is, when I paid for my elective ultrasound, I noticed a long thing going across my baby. I asked her what it is. She said it was an amniotic band and that it didnt appear to be wrapped around anything. But she really made it seem like this was a normal thing so I didnt think anything of it. Now I'm really worried because my doctor has noticed this on just a 2d ultrasound. Anyone ever had this happen ???

I know nothing we say will help you worry less but keep in mind this is rare so odds are in your favor! Seeing a specialist is probably just a precaution. Hope you get your answers very soon!

@lifewithlynnieandwill88 I hope it doesnt affect his growth later on when hes bigger. I'm not even sure if my doctor and the other lady are even talking about the same band. I'm so confused and ready to have answers.

I've only heard about it. If it gets wrapped around something, it cuts off blood to the area. So if it wraps around baby's fingers, baby's fingers won't develop, you get what I'm saying? I guess the doctors will monitor it, it's definitely cause for concern. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news... buuut, women have had it and go on to have healthy babies

So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. Ladies I think the whole 'heartburn means the baby will have tons of hair' thing is a myth. based on my ultrasound I just had, unless she is blond and it just didn't show up on the ultrasound, my baby girls gonna be bald. 😂😂😂 headbands, ftw!!
