Was good over counter medicine for low blood sugar
Ok thanks for the input I’m definitely getting tablets and what symptoms u got with your type one
There isn't a lot for low blood sugar. They have glucose tablets but that's just expensive candy. Like @lifewithlynnieandwill88 suggested, you just need to eat good quality snacks that balance protein/carbs and eat regularly, like every 3-4 hours, just small meals/snacks.
@ciera2020 I honestly don't remember. They're basically just sugar tablets, so any candy would do if you go that route. Lifesavers, butterscotches, anything to keep with you. I had a nurse tell me once that dairy products get into your system fastest. When I was pregnant and working I would crash really hard and had to keep milk in our fridge and drink some every hour or so. I worked in a physical therapy gym so we were busy constantly.
@jenx, oh okay I got u well I’m gonna try them tablets and I’m gonna do little food shopping tomorrow as well for snacks
I’m type 1 diabetic, I don’t often use glucose tabs but they are an easy option. The target brand strawberry ones taste good and are only a few dollars for a bottle of them. Juice boxes are my preferred go to method for correcting a low.
