I didnt notice but someone pointes out that theres a LOT of room around baby in my uterus. Both my other kids it was pretty snug around baby. Anyone else have an ultrasound like this? This wasnt a formal scan just like a real quick maybe 3 min scan done by my OB to check that baby had a heart beat. She never moved the wand again pretty much from the second the put it on my stomach since she found the baby right where she placed it. Im not sure if all that room is concerning or normal? The doc stated herself she knew little about doing ultrasounds herself, shed only been trained to look for a heartbeat and measure "semi-accurately" the length of baby. Shes brand new to the practice I go to, fresh out of college, explained shed only been there a couple months, so she wanted a recap of my medical history with my first pregnancy. She never said anything about all the room, never really looked around at all either so im not sure if she even noticed all the extra room either. Just wondering if its normal? I have another scan at the maternal fetal medicine offices where they have their doctors who do know how to read and preform proper scans, but its not for a few weeks. My friends got me a little worried that somethings not right though because shes also never had so much extra room and shes on baby number 5. Probably worried over nothing, but id hate to dismiss it if someones had this and something been wrong.

Sometimes there’s just more fluid. If you’re worried, call your MFM doc and see if you can be seen sooner

Mines not super close up but I was 10 weeks 6 days with kynzleigh and she had quite a bit of fluid around here... Idk where Aubrey's is to compare.
Kynzleigh was a perfectly healthy pregnancy. I went to 38 weeks on the dot.
PS they only did this ultrasound to find the heartbeat. It wasn't getting picked up with the fetal Doppler so the midwife was worried, apparently it was because I had an anterior placenta. So the placenta was in the front cushioning the baby.
