Ladies, do you think $75 for a digital invitation is fair. One of my bridemaids sister makes invitations as a side job. Part of it was my fault and hers for not even talking about price. Then Again I never thought it would of been that much just for a digital!!! In messages I would say just tell me how much it is?? When I would ask how the invite was coming along And I wouldn't get a reply. My wedding is October 17th and shes just barely sent me the invite today saying it's going to be $75. I was in shock!! I do love the invitation but I don't think its worth $75, I still need to get them printed, get envelopes, and mail them out all by the 1st of September which leaves a little over a month before the wedding..i had wanted rsvps but now its way to late for that. And on top of that she was working in this invitation since may?? Any time I messaged her in regards of the invitation it took her 3 to 4 days to reply.. i get people have lives and jobs. But if she couldn't do it and have it ready for me on time. I could of gotten it else where.. i only need 20 invitations,do you ladies think this invite is worth the $75? My bridemaids also mentioned that some people pay $200 for a digital invite!!
I've done invites for family and close friends. 25 or 50 for about $10 bucks. I just charge them whatever Walgreens or cvs charge to print the out. So i think $75 is expensive
I was gonna 😳 you but all these girls got it right. I could’ve made that for you for free. I love doing stuff like this & I created my daughter’s baby shower and birthday invites from scratch!!
I trusted my friend when I should of just went with etsy or making them myself. Like I usually do, but because it was my wedding I wanted to get them done or through etsy. So I wouldn't have another thing to worry about. Well lesson learned, never again
So it’s $75 for the design? That’s cheap design work. I’m a designer and that’s why I don’t do freelance because everyone wants stuff for free. Maybe she spent a lot of time on it. You can go through Etsy because a lot of artists sell designs for like $10 because it’s a template you just fill in your info.
$75 is way to much, for a digital copy. I the people never asked for it to be for free, she knew to begin with i didnt want to spend alot of money on invitations..and i kept asking to let me know how much it would be and she never answered my question. I had told her i wanted the invites done end of July early August so I could send out rsvps, anytime I messaged her it took her 3 to 7 days to reply. Or would tell me i will send you a sample today and 2 weeks went by nothing... i have no rsvps and now no time to even send them out!! i had to keep bugging her about the invitations, she had been working on then since may, I doubt it takes 3 months to make 1 single digital copy. She showed me the whole invitation in May.. she had it done then..so idk how it took 3 months to just change a few words around.. The communication with her was terrible, I only wanted 25 invitations and like I said before her sister and her knew I didn't not want to spend an arm and a leg. Because invites go in the trash!! I personally don't think $75 is a fair price, specially for last minute invitation that she didn't even care to get to me on time.
That’s a lot. I bought a digital invitation on Etsy for my daughter’s first birthday and paid $10.95 for the file and rights to print. Also, it was 2 days from the day I placed the order to the day I had the digital image in my email.
20 for $75 no way!!! Maybe if she was working her butt off to get it done in time and acted like she cared but it takes 10/15 minutes to make this not 2.5 months!!
I would just do them your self!!! A lot cheaper and would get done a lot faster 🤷♀️
If it's a digital invite, why would you have to send out physical copies?
She's been working on it since May!! For 75 bucks, she should email the invites, and send the physical invites to guests who don't have email 🤷🏿♀️
@kush_queen420 I told my fiance I will never trust friends with stuff like this again. She was also supposed to print them but I told her just send me the digital, because I need them done a.s.a.p.
I cant imagined if I waited for her to get them printed, it would of been an arm and leg. They were both saying you know its expensive to get them cut. Either way, I was so mad about it.
I could agree more, I should of gotten it off of etsy. I told her i don't want to spend to much, because invites go in the trash these are just for my close family and I want to be formal with them. Sending them through email or ig is more for friends.. my wedding will be small because of covid, just our families and our wedding party thats it.
@lezlie527, If she quoted you that price to include printing then you should have her print them. That’s not right. Now you have to pay extra to print? If she’s not going to print them then she needs to adjust the price. And yeah that’s ridiculous that it took her that long and now you have to cut it close to your desired date.
