Y’all, I don’t know how much more I can handle of Tinley.
She’s great for everyone else but me!
No matter what I do she NEVER listens to me. She tells me she don’t like me and she doesn’t want to stay here. She hollers for my mom every time she gets in trouble.
I have tried literally everything and nothing seems to phase her!
My daughter is the same way. She doesn’t listen to anything I say ever, and no amount of discipline works. She just doesn’t care. It was worse when she was 4 and she’s almost 6 now so sometimes I can reason with her but it’s a daily battle. I usually threaten her with no iPad time or no dessert.
Look into southbaymommyandme on Instagram. She has so many great tips and has really helped me teach my son how to express himself in a healthier way but she’s also taught me how to communicate with my son in a way that will get results. It definitely takes time and a lot of practice but it has been so worth it.
@scidg3, she’s incredible and so kind. I tell everyone to follow her. She responds every single time I’ve ever messaged her.
My mom used to make me put my knees on hard rice in the corner for however long lol
That’s abuse, I hope you aren’t suggesting she do that 😩.
@imacat, I’m not I’m jst Saying that’s the type of stuff she did to make me act right
I’m in the same boat with my daughter, except she doesn’t listen to ANYONE! I’m to the point where I don’t know what to do.
I cry everyday cause mine is so bad!
She gets butt whoopins, I put her in the corner, I’ve taken toys, I have done absolutely everything.
@brittanystewart304, we’ve done the same thing. I’m literally about to take everything from her. A friend of mine makes her boys do wall sits when they act out, and they haven’t been in trouble In months. I’m considering that.
Does your mom give into her?? Also kids are often good for everyone else except their parents. They know and sense the unconditional love from them. Just be patient, consistent, and get your mom on board if she isn't.
Once in a blue moon she will.
Tinley has gotten soooo bad over the last few months. To the point where I cry in the evenings when she goes to bed.
I stay so stressed out cause nothing works.
@brittanystewart304 it will get better. My daughter was like this when she was little and it's so frustrating.
Is your mom letting her get away with everything and you are upholding rules?

Enjoying some fun in the sun ☀️
Don’t come for me about him not wearing a life jacket. I don’t want to hear it. He was fine 🙄
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

The response I got from letting my landlord know this is the second mouse I’ve had in my apartment in a couple weeks.
That last sentence really rubbed me wrong. For one, I have a clean apartment, I don’t leave food out. Two, it’s fall so mice are looking for warmth, they’re not coming into my apartment because it’s ‘dirty’. Three, I don’t believe that it’s a “first for this building”. Ugh this whole email just made me feel like she thinks I don’t clean or something.
Maybe I’m over reacting. I...
So because a user (who is no longer on here as of just a min ago) inspired me I wanted one of those cute sugar skull table cloths she bought from that restaurant. I called them and asked to purchase one. They said they don’t sell them from the restaurant but that they’re custom made from Etsy. Kinda jealous she was able to buy one even though they said they don’t do that. 😂
Not sure if this will help. We just started a new reward system he gets an X when he’s really bad, hitting his sister, constant name calling. I give him some leeway hoping he will change his attitude. Anyway he gets up to 5, after 3 he looses dessert and after that he could loose video games or tv time or tablet. My goal is to show him good behavior gets good things, I don’t want to constantly be yelling at him. We also use stickers so show when he did something really good, helped his sister or changed his attitude. I also try to praise him for his good behavior!
