Someone please explain how my child is low on iron and has been prescribed it for 3 months
This child is awake everyday between 5:30-6:30am
And goes to sleep 8/9pm
Is running around the house
If I take her for a 2hour walk she’s up even later
Is this normal?? 🙃🙃

Could I ask how they found out she's low on iron and what made them suspect ? Xx

Blood test, wasn’t suspected she was tested for various things xx

She’s having a few investigations
Her tummy has been distended a few years
Been to the doctors multiple times and they couldn’t find anything wrong
A week ago she had bloods taken
Tested for coeliac, vitamin D and a full blood count
Everything came back perfect apart from low iron so yeah I’m baffled about it Xx

she’s now finally being referred to a paediatrician for her tummy xx

When I was told im low in iron all I wanted to do was sleep. So I would get that checked again to make sure. Because that's one of the main symptoms

my child use to be allergic to sleep lol until in a proper routine x

Haha wow! 😂 I'm anaemic and all I wanna do is sleep when my iron levels drop. I take a multivitamin & iron every day. Now and again I get prescribed more iron. Wish I had that much energy! xx

Yeah I’m not doubting it lol since it’s confirmed from blood tests but still crazy since she has no symptoms x

I'm borderline anaemic but you wouldn't even know it. I've only really ever felt the effects when pregnant.

Aaliyah low on iron she sleep quit a lot she been on it for 3 month now. She due for next blood test tomorrow or Wednesday to see. How it going.
