Just got back from Zays school grabbing the “wiggle device” requested in his IEP. This can either be on his chair or the other side is for his feet to help him with distractions. We had a lot of success with using it at speech, let’s hope it helps with distance learning.
Oh that’s really cool. Montessori schools don’t have desks and they sit wherever they are comfortable. I saw a lot of different seating like that in the various classrooms too.
Oooh! We have a wobble stool that is like a mushroom. I never thought to try it for the distance learning. Thanks for posting
He was sitting on it for his outside speech and I requested it in his IEP because it really helped him chill out more and focus on what he needed to be learning
How does fiddling or wobbling help with his distractions? Curious about the concept.
@jenx I think I need one for myself. It would help with posture and building core strength on top of helping with the nervous movements?
Oooh I thought about the ball chair too!!! That’s now on my list to try.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?

My sons 1st grade class had what’s called “flexible seating” so they had like 8 different options for seats. This was one of them, they also had standing desks, yoga balls, floor mats, chairs with wheels and a few more options. It was really cool and the kids could pick their seats everyday. They were not assigned to a specific seat.
