Anyone have/had a baby that crys almost through the whole car ride? How did you handle it?
I'm about to my breaking point with the crying when I have to go somewhere.
I just talked to him the whole way, it didn't work, smh, I thought he didn't like being alone so I talked to let him know we didn't leave him, lol. Have you tried a baby mirror?
@momof3.98 @momof3.98 as of right now, we don't have money for one.
@momof3.98 no, I am in a small town. 15 mins away from a big city
My daughter was AWFUL in the infant carseat.. It was to the point where she would clam up into a ball and scream when we started to buckle her until we got to our destination. I was a full time student and working so we were on the go a lot. Anyway I switched from an infant carrier to a convertible car seat around 9 months and it was like instant relief for her. Never figured out why she hated the infant car seat and didn't care.
@kaitrack23 my thoughts were that baby will only be 6-7 months at Christmas and not remember much of it, and a convertible car seat would make him so much happier right now, and any grandparent who could afford it would jump at that. He won't know a thing about presents this Christmas. I am going to look at what affordable convertible carseats go for. <3
@kaitrack23 hopefully of we get another stimulus payment maybe too.
I'm seeing well rated ones for $65 and up. I hope someone can help, that is so miserable when they scream and cry in the car.
@jenx yeah, I don't usually go all out for Christmas gifts because I don't think it's what Christmas is all about. I limit it to like 10 gifts and something 'big' to put from Santa. Ill have to look around. I'd like to get him one like my daughters. She has the Graco 4ever, but if I have to, I can get him a cheaper one til we can afford a better one.
Do you think it's the movement of the car? The restraint? Being out of your reach?
Is it an infant seat you can easily take out? Maybe put him in it around the house here and there so he gets used to it? Or take short car rides?
My daughter hated her seat also.
@jenx Yeah, he's still in the carrier. He hates it. There's some times that he's fine in it for 5 mins and that's it. He's usually only in it for 15-30 mins. His Dr office is 30 mins away from home.
I can sit next to him in my husbands truck and he still screams and won't settle down.
I don't think it's movement because when I carry him or sway with him while he is in his seat he is quiet.
@kaitrack23 awwww. It's probably the pressure from the restraints or the position. My daughter absolutely hated being strapped in, even though it is necessary. :( She did adjust to it over time, but she used to wail when we would put her in.
I cried the whole way home from my mom's house because of him crying. I had just got done feeding and burping him and he had a clean diaper on.
@kaitrack23, yep. She was always fed and definitely changed before we left the house....tried different car seats too...she HATES the car 🤷🏽♀️
Is it true babies are supposed to cry when your having a different sex
Am I the only one who cries when they’re angry? I hope I’m not the only one, I have no clue why I cry when I’m angry 🙄🤦🏻♀️
