Thank you!! Yes, I’ve joined two and even found a realtor to talk to. She wasn’t too much help but it was a step in the right direction. Praying we hear word about base housing tomorrow!
Oh man! So I know where you’re going and I agree that it’s weirdly expensive. While it’s beautiful and all, damn! I pay less down here in CA. It’s another reason my father left WA too. It’s slowly becoming more expensive and he wanted to live near me. So you gotta find something basically between Everett and Bellingham which would equal an hour commute. Hmmm, if I see something I’ll let you know.
That’s where we’ve been looking. We’re probably just going to have to squeeze into a 2 bedroom 🙃
@mommaofjandm, how far is the distance? Is he willing to commutes my husband did for a year before he deployed. The areas around our old base were crazy expensive but that’s California for you. Lol
@amouryaya09, he definitely doesn’t mind commuting. He drove an hour to and from down here. But we’d still be getting the BAH for Whidbey. I haven’t found one house that is even close to being affordable. Everything is at least $800 out of price range. It’s driving me nuts lol
