Rh - is not bad to clarify. You'd just need the RhoGAM shot during pregnancy.
If your blood type is whatever + your Rh is +
If your blood type is whatever - your Rh is -
Simplest way to know.
@beetlejuice_beetlejuice_beetlejuice, So when I gave birth my daughter had to be in the NICU and I remember them telling me to tell them next time I get pregnant because my daughter had coombs. Isn’t that something to do with RH? Thanks for your help btw I am obsessing over this because I feel like i was part of a malpractice and I want to make sure it doesn’t get missed this time.
@rnm2213 I'm not too sure. But I'd definitely talk to your doctor about it to clear things up.
If your last baby had Coombs you more than likely are RH-. How I learned it, is that if you are RH- and you have a baby that is RH+ then your body won’t necessarily attack that baby but your body will make antibodies that are ready to go attack any future pregnancies with a positive blood type and you’ll need to get the rhogam shot at some point in your pregnancy. You need to talk to your dr about it and confirm your blood type.
