Moms with girls ... when did your daughters need to start wearing deodorant? My daughter is only 8 but the last few days she’s developed a stink about her and she showers every other night. It’s literally coming from her armpits. I just thought 8 was a bit young
My daughter is 7 she’s been wearing it since like a couple of months before she turned 6. We tried to hold off but the girl smelled horrible even just standing beside you.
Mine were both around 9, but they didn’t start actually going through puberty until around 11.
I could deal with this lol I really really don’t wanna do the puberty thing yet
@supermomof4, dealing with a 14 year old in the thick of it and a 12 year old that is just starting. It is ROUGH!

I discovered my 7 year old son needed deodorant a few weeks ago . It’s normal
Never too early to start hygiene routines. My boys both wear deodorant since they started to see me and my husband use dry sprays etc. They love to smell nice after showers and I can't be tha kguo enough they see how important it is gor them to keep up hygiene. they have natural deodorants also she can use amd actually Target has a whole little section now in stores for girls and pampering to make it fun
I know my son who is 8 has to wear deodorant or he has a musty smell it’s so gross. I know girls are different but in the 1st grade their teacher told the boys and girls both that spring 7-8 most kids start wearing some sort of deodorant due to them starting to smell and sweat more ect.
I thought that at first too but it’s actually been cool and raining for the last 3 days and so she hasn’t been outside nor sweating so I don’t think that’s the case in this situation but I definitely see the point in that!
@supermomof4, my son also he doesn’t sweat when inside and he still hasn’t nasty smelling must under arms. They are all starting to develop 😫
@mommakaylax3, I’m dreading this so bad. My oldest was my easiest kid and it was kinda hard dealing with puberty with him. My other son is just starting to go through it and he’s a bit behind my other son. But neither of them was this early! And this is my first time dealing with it with a girl
My daughter started going through puberty between 7 and 8. Started her period at 9 and now at 12 has a full B cup.
Omgosh! That seems so young to me! I’m pretty sure I was 11 when I got my period. I know everyone is different but it’s hard to cope with
@supermomof4, I was 15. Kids start younger now.
Mine just started a few months ago. She’s 7 almost 8.
Same with my daughter around 8/9 ..she woke up musty one day.. I was like oh my 😳 lol
That’s about how I was like dang is this smell really coming from you!!
I was 8, when I had to start. I also started to go through puberty.
@supermomof4, it’s rough 🥴 I started getting boobs at 8 by 11 I had my period. I’ve seen a deodorant called teen spirit
@michellemybell09, I remember that but I didn’t think it actually worked. I was about 11 when all that started for me
My daughter wears it. She started to around 7. She is very tall and developed for her age. She sees a pediatric endocrinologist just to make sure she isn't growing too quickly. Does your daughter have any armpit hair or hair sprouting "down there"? My daughter's is essentially a false puberty so far. She gets a yearly hand xray to check her growth. She's due when covid chills out.
She doesn’t have any armpit hair or any pubic hair yet. I’m really hoping it’s not the beginning of puberty already. And what’s a good deodorant for a young girl?
@jenx, I thought so at first but it’s been cool and raining for a few days and she hasn’t been outside nor sweating. Ugh
I’m thinking of pull my daughter from her school and into home school because of the sex Ed coming to her school. How is home schooling.?

My dd has been wearing it since around that age.
