I hate when ppl assume since you cant afford(dont wanna spend) things then it equates that you cant afford to have kids....🤷🏾♀️
Where tf, does that make sense?🤦🏾♀️
I just dont wanna spend/waste mt money on some BS thats not gonna work for me.
Think about our grandparents and greatgrandparents they made it work with having 5-20 kids and we now value and look up to those people as our aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

I get what you’re saying and being thrifty is different than not having money. But, I do think when family planning it is very important to take finances into account. Older generations made it, sure, but they didn’t necessarily set up a solid foundation for the youth today. Things like going to college and buying a house are much different today than they were and I would like to try and make sure my kids don’t have the same debts that I had to take on at such a young age.

Thats where teaching your kids financial habits and skills comes to play and showing them about pros and cons because nowadays you have to be strategic with when and how you go to school. Also alot of times you get a degree but because you lack experience then you cant get into your field depending on what your degree was in. Im down with coupons and other ways to be savvy because its just better and awesome but its starts with you as the parent for the example that you set.

Finances do count but thats where you as the parent make sure to take the necessary steps to set yourself up to be finacially prepared for life for yourself and for when kids come along. Thats why ill have 3 jobs by the end of September its all working from home its not cause i have to its cause more income allows me to tackle more goals that require money to get started or finished.

of course being strategic and having good sense with money are very important. That’s a different conversation. I was addressing the statement that our grandparents and so on made do. They did so in a different time and with different realities and plenty of them struggled.

the cost of living was also dramatically different too back then! I 100% agree with everything you said.

crazy thing is alot of people face some similar struggles today and instead of making it things still go wrong some things dont change over time plus think about the knowledge they had some didnt even finish elementary school whereas we have better chances now. If people still struggle despite modern advances then it doesnt matter what time youre from some things will face all of us sooner or later and other people can prosper with that little leg up. Alot of people live great lives and at home they have methods. Id ask someone who has a large family 5+ and ask how they make it because whethet back then or now you can make it work with alot of kids and not come off as struggling 🤷🏾♀️
