My daughters dad works in the naval hospital an this morning they were told 21 people in his department had to be placed in quarantine. He doesn’t have to but he asked me did I feel safe with us being around him. It’s always been in the back of my mind but it’s like damn, this is a hard situation. We are around him and possibly get exposed or we don’t see him but for how long because this virus isn’t going any where and that would mean time and memories missed. He is already deploying in November or December so I want her to see him as much as possible. I wish people would think about everyone they affect when they do things to expose themselves and others to this virus. It affects our medical workers and their families. It affects so many people but folks are out here really living it up. Some not even wearing masks or social distancing.

What a difficult situation!! I’m sorry I can’t imagine the extra stress you’re having to face.

I cannot even imagine being in this position, like what if in another week they tell him he may have been exposed and he has to quarantine 😫. I know you guys will do what's best for her but you're absolutely right people need to stop being so freaking selfish. I'm so glad I'm out of the military life

He was supposed to be getting out but just recently told me he wants to re-enlist 🤦♀️😩. We worked together his very first job in high school and after high school he joined the military. He was really set on getting out but he is going up for a promotion and pay raise so I guess it’s worth staying. I’m worried about his exposure when he deploys. They are a medical ship. Thankfully he missed their trip to ny to assist during April but he won’t be missing this next deployment.

@dontblockmesis-imjustspeakingfacts I can't even imagine. I have a friend that just deployed and he said that they're taking a lot of extra precautions because of all the bad press they initially received. Hopefully that's the truth because I can't imagine being in tight quarters like that if someone gets sick they all will 😫
I am a mom and granny. I raised 2 daughters and now I am raising my oldest's 4 girls. Yes, all girls again, my bonus daughters. They are ages 17, 13, 9 and 6. ·
So sorry you are going through that. Hope everything turns out for you. That is a hard choice but I'm sure you'll do what is best for your family.
