Update: I’m finally home guys lol everything went great, I did the test for the baby, I got covid-19 test and also and ultrasound... everything came out pretty good the doctor send me home, but he keep
Asking me if she’s not born today (cause is her due date) when I want her to be born? He’s talking about getting me induce, I told him I want to give her a week to come out by herself 🤷🏽♀️ i saw in my papers that she’s measuring 37 weeks even thoe I’m 40 already so I guess she can stay inside a little longer, I want her to be born on 08/07/2020 imma see if that’s an option with my doctor, if he’s ok with it imma go for it😳
Yikes you’re already 40 weeks, don’t wait too long. I’d schedule induction for 41 weeks if baby doesn’t come by then. It’s unlikely you’ll be able to stay pregnant until the 7th! That’s 2 more weeks! 😱
If today is day 1 of week 40, the 7th would be day 1 of week 42, which is still within a safe window for delivery as long as you have an U/S and everything looks good with the placenta and amniotic fluid. I delivered at 43 weeks via induction with my first. Once you get post term you have many concerns that lead to tragic outcomes so vying for a natural birth and for baby to come on their own is fine, but please be aware that you don't want to go past 42 weeks for baby's safety. But it's worth asking. Best of wishes no matter what.
Edit: Correction CAN LEAD to tragic outcomes (it's not always but they absolutely can and often do).
I'd def wait 1 more week if lo is measuring only 37 weeks. Shoot I would wait 2 and do extra monitoring.
