I haven't been able to keep anything down for the past 24 hours so I called my OB office to ask what was safe for me to take. I've NEVER had nausea this bad with my other two pregnancies. And the nurse on the line went. "Oh well honey morning sickness is good. Means you're less likely to miscarry!" And then gave me a list and to try preggie pops. I've never heard that morning sickness has any kind of relation to how likely you are to having a miscarriage. I was so surprised she said that, that I forgot to ask why. But maybe it has something to do with higher levels of progesterone? Definitely something I googled. Found some arrivals linking morning sickness to healthier pregnancies in general. One thing I found interesting was that apparently according to some studies women who experience morning sickness are more likely to have babies with healthy weights and are less likely to have a baby who develops IUGR(intrauterine growth restriction) which is what my son had. And coincidentally I never had even a little morning sickness with him, or really ANY pregnancy symptoms except heartburn and spd in later pregnancy. I DID have morning sickness with my daughter though, and she had zero problems at all and was a much better weight than my son was at birth(both were born at 37weeks) so that's interesting to think about! I'll have to look into it more and read about these studies.
😂😂 that’s probably a myth but you never know my first was two months early and my next two kids were a month early... with my last I was horribly sick couldn’t gain any weight with any but he was my biggest so it went 3,5,7 zofran helps
I had severe morning sickness with my girls. One I did have GD with too. What helped me everytime is ice cold water with lemon. I’m pregnant again too and it’s hitting me hard again. I feel your pain!
I had terrible
Morning sickness with my first like throwing up 10 times a day couldn’t keep anything down peppermints helped me a break ginger ale
With my second my my morning sickness was very minimal . Both my baby’s were born at 39 weeks 6 days and 39 weeks 5 days they were 6 pounds and 6 pounds 2 oz
Morning sickness so tough feel better also toast and chicken soup small sips helped me
I’ve also heard of this, I feel like it’s sort of true because when I had my missed miscarriage my morning sickness barely existed and then completely disappeared. But try some Sprite, also jolly ranchers or peppermint candies also popsicles. you can try saltines but they never worked with me, I was also told to eat 6 small meals instead of 3 meals a day and things with protein in them. Another thing that helped is I only ate things I knew I could keep down.
I have GD every pregnancy so I'm not supposed to have anything sugary like soda or candies unfortunately. So it's hard to find things that aren't gonna spike my blood sugar. I haven't had my GD test but they've advised me to adhere to my GD diet plan asap.
@insecureemu, awe man. I would say diet sprite but I don’t know if you’re suppose to have anything diet or sugar free in pregnancy.
That's great news!! I have a friend who just recently started trying to have a family. She had been through a lot in the past many years battling breast cancer and had to have a double mastectomy. But she has been cancer-free and just got the go-ahead from her doctor for her and her husband to start trying to have a family which is all she ever wanted. She got pregnant right away told everybody but then lost the baby the next day. Her and her husband tried again and she's pregnant again and this time she started explaining how she's having morning sickness and I told her that that's great because it's a sign that the pregnancy has stuck and is healthy. Pregnancy symptoms are absolutely a great sign that everything is going well. She is now about 7 weeks and I can't wait to talk to her again and see how she's doing. I had severe morning sickness throughout most of my pregnancy and the only things I could keep down where melons like watermelon cantaloupe and honeydew and I lived off of peppermint candy
Try room temperature 7up. Or even sparkling water. Those two things always helped me. Jolly ranchers helped sometimes too.
I have heard this but I never had morning sickness with either kid and they both were pretty healthy. My oldest had slight jaundice but it wasn't bad enough for a light. They were also 8lbs 3oz and 7 lbs 9 oz 🤷🏼♀️
You might have hyperemesis gravidarum. Sounds like you're having a girl
I also had hyeremesis and that was with my son, My morning sickness was so much better with my daughter lol
@michellemybell09, mine was better the second time, too. The first time was unreallllll. The things we endure for our babies. Lol
@love_linds, yess! I literally thought I wasn’t going to make it out alive with my first 😅
Supposedly having more symptoms of pregnancy can indicate you have a smaller chance but that's definitely not always true.
Try mint, preggie pops, sprite and stick to what you know you can eat.
I didn’t have any morning sickness with my first I’ve never heard that it makes you less likely to miscarry that’s interesting
I'd never heard of it either before now. No one's ever said anything like that to me before.
@insecureemu, my daughter was healthy as can be too! 7lb 15oz ❤️❤️
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.

I don’t think that’s true. I had morning sickness even while I was miscarrying. Water with cucumber and mint or lemon in it saved me.
