I have been going into preterm labor since Tuesday. I was admitted into the hospital where I was given injections to help stop the contractions and help with my baby lungs if she were to come early. I was discharged yesterday and I was told to remain on bedrest. My doctor mentioned that the pain I was having in my back was due to my baby being sunny side up. Ive looked online and I show that it’s possible that this could cause a long and painful labor experience when I do go into active labor. Has anyone ever experienced this, how did it turn out for you?

My last was sunny side up, she was by far the worst delivery I had😔

Wow! I searched online, and I see a lot of women who have had a bad experience. All week long the pain in my lower back has been soooo painful. I can only imagine.

My son was sunny side up. Labor was long and the contractions were quite painful. I pushed for two hours, but my pelvic bones were not wide enough to allow his head to pass being sunny side up, so I had an unplanned C-section after all that. Pushing plus surgery made me feel like a truck had literally run me over. Recovery was really rough.
I don’t mean to scare you, but I went into it like an idiot with this ideal expectation of delivery, and it turned out to be horrible and traumatic. I get pissed off when women say “Our bodies are made for this” because that’s not always true.

I agree!! I have a doula, and she has been trying to convince me that with hip rotation I could get baby to turn. I have been doing this since Wednesday, and doesn’t seem to be helping. At this point I’m just trying to prepare myself. This sucks for sure!!

I’m definitely requesting an epidural.
