My 14 year old is so disappointed he won’t be able to attend his first year of high school in person. He’s been looking forward to it for so long and being able to play HS football. I know it’s what’s best right now but it’s still disappointing😕

That super sucks 🥺 my kids are having a hard time too because they so badly wanna go back.. I think they’re opening school here but I think cyber school might still be our safer bet this year especially because their guidelines seems sketchy and not the safest.
Yea girl I was worried about him going back because it’s pretty bad around here right now so I know it’s what’s best but it sucks he won’t get to experience his first year of high school like normal. 😢
My son graduated this year and it sucked. We’re grateful and celebrated accordingly but it sucked for him ☹️ he missed out on so many senior year experiences.

@preciouslove, that’s all we can do is support them. Wishing your kiddo a good freshman year. Maybe sign him up for sports outside of school?
My high schooler is suppppperrr bummed too. He does robotics and they’ve canceled ALLLL that. So he doesn’t even want to go back even if it’s an option. He’s just going to do the virtual option.
Aww that does suck. They’ve made online mandatory now. First they were letting parents decide online or two days a week at school but then they said this week everyone has to do online.
@preciouslove, they’ve not released our districts plan yet. Which is INSANE 🤦🏼♀️. The district just north of us (same county different town) released their plan already and it’s a damn shit show! If our district is anything like what they have proposed we are going to let our high schooler do virtual through the district because he will lose his spot at his school because we transfer into district and we are going to pull the other kids and do our states public school virtual option called WA connections academy.

Aww my son too he’s played football and basketball since he was 5. They were doing workouts together on Zoom but since it’s been decided there won’t be sports, and school will be online this next school year it’s done. 😓

My so and I haven't been able to have cats for years. Last year we moved into our own house. So says we can have a cat now.

My 5 year old brother just got circumcised due to all the infections he kept on getting & seeing him in so much pain not being able to walk makes me glad I got my son circumcised as a newborn & planning on doing the same with my second baby.
@preciouslove, my son plays on his high school varsity team he is to start his senior yr this august when many colleges start sending recruitment out to the high school players ,our county in Miami fl hasn’t decided yet but,I feel so bad if it’s taken away he’s been on the team since the summer of going into 9th grade never missed a football practice & his coaches are amazing they do training 2-3 a week with the kids on team still as safe as possible
